Then join us in a newly established position as Data Engineer in OPF.
OPF is part of Novo Nordisk’s R&D family. We develop oral drug products and manufacturing processes in our pilot plants, as well as analytical methods. Our ambition is to develop the world’s first tablet products for diabetic patients based on orally available versions of pharmaceutical peptides.
About the department
The position is anchored in Oral Analytical Development which is responsible for developing analytical methods that are used to support development of the manufacturing processes as well as routine analysis for GMP productions.
The department consist of +35 highly skilled and dedicated analytical scientists and laboratory technicians. Together we represent many years of scientific experience in analytical sciences enabling us to innovate and solve exciting and challenging tasks. We collaborate very closely with early research departments, our pilot-scale production department and our large-scale manufacturing departments. One of the most critical parts in our business is the creation and sharing of analytical data internally and with our collaborating departments.
We have recently started a journey towards using more digitalisation, automation and better use of data. And we need your help!
The position
This is a new job type within NN R&D and you will have a key role in shaping the future digital laboratory in OPF.
We are looking for a person that can develop a digital strategy for our laboratories together with other IT specialists. The person must be able to do hands-on implementation, documentation and training of users. This could be to install databases, application program interfaces (API), RPA, data management software, interfacing with existing databases, testing and validation.
Qualifications
You have a background in programming, software engineering or data engineering. You have experience in connecting laboratory equipment to data bases. Ideally, you have gained some years of relevant experience from an industrial company and it is an advantage if you have experience with production of pharmaceuticals. Also experience with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is a major advantage.
On a personal level, you are curious and self-driven. Additionally, you are outgoing, structured and have a strong personal drive to get the job done on time without compromising the quality in your deliverables. As you will have a close collaboration with specialists, scientists and technicians in the department, we expect you to be skilled at collaborating with people with different backgrounds and at communicating complex content across functions, motivating others to hear and follow your ideas. Preferably, you can speak and write both Danish and English.
