We need you to manage our multicultural commodity team - a role with multiple interfaces and excellent opportunities for you to create significant results. Lead a team of experienced specialists as you motivate and support them on implementing new processes and strategies, setting the tone for our profitability and competitive standing in the market. Through its Jabra brand, GN Netcom is a world leader in innovative hands-free audio solutions, and as Director, you manage our Global Commodity team. Using your skills within people development, support and engagement, you drive the team to deliver great cost reductions and best in class supplier performance. Lead a global team Our Global Commodity team consists of 6 experienced and professional colleagues; 2 in Ballerup, Denmark, where you will also be based; 2 in Xiamen, China; and 2 in Shenzhen, China - making up an international and virtual team. You will refer to our VP for Global Procurement, who is based in Hong Kong, and as such, you will be his representative in our Ballerup office and an important figure for not only commodity management but Global Procurement as a whole. Enhance supplier strategies through motivation Each of our commodities has a specific supplier strategy. Your responsibility is to support the team by making sure that such strategies continuously meet the future needs of the business and with best in class supplier performance, price and capabilities. In addition hereto, it is expected that you support the preparation of and the actual supplier negotiations and escalations where necessary. Your role as a motivator is an important part of your job. You are the one to give input and inspiration for the team to constantly develop their processes and improve results. As your team members lead cross-functional commodity teams with participants from R&D and other functions, you also play an important part in internal networks. You will be dealing with highly experienced colleagues, and therefore both your leadership capabilities and input and ideas for improvements will be continuously challenged. You can expect 60-70 travel days, mostly in China and Asia, and 1-2 trips to intra-Europe per year. Excellent leadership abilities and negotiation skills • You have a degree in business or engineering, but most importantly, you are a skilled leader with 5+ years of experience in leading sourcing teams, projects and cross-functional teams. • You possess solid negotiation skills enabling you to lead and spar with your team. • Moreover, you have experience with one or more of the following: supplier relationship management, electronics supply chain and manufacturing, quality systems and KPIs in supply chain, mechanical engineering and design, international business, trade law and agreements. As a person, you are a great motivator with high integrity who is culturally sensitive. This allows you to lead a multicultural team remotely while still driving change. Furthermore, you are outgoing and able to communicate both internally with stakeholders and externally with suppliers. Your drive, engagement, initiative and creative thinking contribute to development and collaboration.
