Are you an experienced leader/director with great networking and people management skills, and can you drive and implement effective Quality Step Changes? This is an excellent opportunity to be an integral part of a successful division within Danfoss Power Solutions, working with all aspects of Quality in a global environment with multiple stakeholders. In this global position, you will be responsible for leading our new full line quality organization, setting new quality standards, defining strategies and driving development and implementation of a global ISO / TS 16949 quality management system. Join the Work Function division The Work Function Division consists of two business units – Motor and Steering. As Quality Director, you will have the overall responsibility for quality in the Division. You will provide leadership for the Quality organizations at our 5 plants in Denmark, Poland, India, US and China, who will report directly to you. You will report to Vice President Global Operations, Work function Division with a dotted-line reporting to the Vice President, Power Solutions Quality. Also you will be part of the Work Function Operation management team and the PS Global Quality Deployment team. You will be based in Nordborg, Denmark or Wroclaw, Poland and have 40-60 travel days per year to our sites in Asia, Europe and the U.S. Learn more about our business areas here: http://powersolutions.danfoss.com/about-us/our-business/ Lead the global quality improvement at strategic and tactical level In this role you will be expected to set a new standard and culture for the new full line Quality Organization by improving competences, ensuring holistic thinking, enhancing the discipline and execution. As we have committed to be TS compliant by the end of 2016 you will have a key role to define and execute the quality strategy including driving the implementation process of TS in collaboration with the different plants. In doing so, you will collaborate closely with the management teams at our 5 plants to define, initiate and facilitate the right improvement activities. Your main responsibilities will be to: •Lead the full line Quality organization and the global TS 16949 implementation •Challenge performance and drive product quality improvements in all functions working with Operations management, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Procurement etc. to align processes •Lead the competence development •Communicate with internal/external customers and assist in quality reviews and issue resolution •Coordinate warranty and retrofit cases Experienced manager who can navigate in a matrix organization •You have demonstrated excellent leadership from previous jobs •In addition, you have minimum 3 years’ management experience within Operations/Engineering •Your Engineering background is paired with solid quality experience •Experience with TS 16949, preferably from the automotive industry is a definite advantage •You have some application and hydraulic knowledge You need to be an excellent communicator who is used to working in a matrix organization.
