Are you interested in creating innovative big data solutions to the pig production industry? 
And are you an effective and systematic pig domain expert, then you are be the one we are looking for. Here at Scio+ we have spent our first year working on establishing a foothold in the broiler livestock production industry, and time has come to capitalize on our experiences and expand our business into the pig production industry. We are therefore looking for an experienced domain expert who can help us define and create data science products in the pig production domain.  

Scio+ is an ambitious young company working at the forefront of big data and data science in the food production sector. Our vision is to be a world class partner in data driven livestock profit optimization and our mission is to optimize livestock food production profit across the entire value chain by providing reliable data driven insights. To succeed in being a trusted partner for our customers we need more than just the right skills - we need the right people.  

We expect: 

Ideally and to succeed in this position, you have a relevant domain expert background within the pig industry with a strong track record and proven personal drive for mastering the key parts of the pig production value chain.  The role must be filled by a domain expert who is persuasive, positive, outgoing, organized and diligent. You have the ability, experience and ambitions to drive our pig production products; specifically:

• Interview customers, colleagues and partners to understand general market trends and identify new innovative big data and data science solutions.
• Communicating detailed pig domain knowledge in a concise and understandable manor to highly skilled R&D team members who may not be experts in your domain
• Analyse the potential market value of specific solutions and help guide the development team to deliver this.
• Be a trusted internal / external customer advisor, driving customer satisfaction and assist sales and account managers as “solution specialist” when needed to increase probability of sale.
• Open and positive attitude to your colleagues and work, ready to regular traveling (approx. 30 days / year) and a strong desire to make an impact on the world. 

Candidate background:

• You have minimum 5 years of experience from a similar or related position within the pig industry.
• You have achieved outstanding results across the pig production value chain and is motivated by being in direct contact with colleagues, customers and partners.
• You have a strong commercial network within the pig production industry and see the business value in innovative big data and data science solutions.
• You can demonstrate communication and negotiating skills at a high level.
• You speak and write English fluently and preferably additional non-Scandinavian languages.
