For our Offshore Generator Department, we are looking for an electromechanical specialist for the design team. Continuous improvement of our turbines - without compromising on safety and quality - is one of the corner stones of our culture and time to market is one of our main priorities.
Consequently, our generator department is at the forefront of the latest Direct Drive Generator technology, where we utilize our own developed outer rotor, permanent magnet generator.
The main design team is based in Brande and is staffed with highly skilled engineers working with state-of-the-art design tools. Furthermore, we have a design team based in Bangalore, India.
About the role
• Electromechanical design of generator components and subsystems, e.g. insulation system, coil design, cables, busbars etc.
• Creating and reviewing technical documentation, specifying and performing electrical tests on the generator and/or its components and to plan and participate in test assemblies
• Collaboration with key stakeholders from the generator department and other departments, with key- and new suppliers as well.
About you
• You have a BSc or MSc in electrical engineering, preferably in the field of electrical machines or power systems
• You are experienced with the testing of electrical insulation, as well as having hands- on experience with electrical machines, electrical systems and testing equipment
• You have good knowledge of: manufacturing processes of electrical machines, insulation systems and materials, magnetic materials, both LV and HV, cables, busbars and induction motors
• You are familiar with international standards and best practices related to the electrical machines and electrical systems as well as the electrical and mechanical phenomena such as EMC, corrosion, noise and vibration
• You are familiar with CAD design (e.g. Matlab, Mathcad, FE analysis etc.)
• You are inquisitive, outgoing and process-oriented, have the ability to interface at all levels in a dynamic environment and possess strong communication and English skills both orally and in writing
