Industrialisation > Test & Validation > Turbine Validation
The Turbine Validation department is responsible for field-testing of Vestas turbines and technologies. As a part of Vestas Power Solutions, you will work with test and validation of the most advanced technologies using newest testing methods. We test the newest turbines that will secure Vestas' success in the future.
The department are project oriented and we work in teams of 4-5 members. We are characterized by being a young and international department that has a high level of education and strong focus on the development of standards.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is to plan, execute and report on power performance measurements. The right candidate can overview the whole validation process in a complex test environment and understands both the wind turbine and effects of the site and wind and measured data.
Areas of responsibility:
- Wind measurements including Data analysis and reporting of power performance from wind turbines
- Present and advise design owners on power performance and design evaluations
- Handling contracts for external test institutes
- Participate in development of power performance tools platform
- Analysis of test data in general from other test areas than power performance
Qualifications
We believe that you need the following qualifications to get success in the job:
- A master's degree in wind energy, electronics or mechanical engineering
- Experience with wind fields measurements and power performance analysis
- Experience with wind measurements using met mast or nacelle or ground based instruments e.g. lidars or sonics
- Have a driver's license
