Our Financial Controller is moving on to new challenges within the Carlsberg Group, and so we are looking for a talented new finance professional to join our team. 

You will be the finance partner to the CRL leadership team and to our research units, supporting our teams in successfully running and completing a large portfolio of challenging research projects. Together with a range of internal stakeholders across teams and functions, you will be responsible for tracking and reporting financial data, and support the leadership team and research teams with relevant data and regular budget follow-up so as to help ensure budgets are adhered to. 

You will be part of a small team of eight people that supports CRL with purchasing, budgeting and controlling, project management, legal and other matters altogether making a research organization of approximately 80 people run smoothly.

You are offered an opportunity to work very independently with financial controlling in an organization, where it truly matters to efficiently lead the managing of finances within a rather complex structure of projects and financial resources. 

The position

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Financial Controlling for CRL for OPEX and CAPEX
  • Management reporting and project-based cost tracking
  • Drive budget for OPEX and CAPEX and estimate process and reporting for CRL
  • Drive Month End Closing activities
  • Maintain and develop master data and cost tracking in SAP
  • Contact person for auditors
  • Contact person for shared services center in India
  • Assist purchasing team
  • Keep procedures within controlling and finance updated
  • Keep Chart of Authority up to date
  • Ensure reporting is in compliance with group policy and local rules strong financial and controlling skills and business acumen
  • Driving, coordinating and improving IT tools (SAP, BI and Excel).
  • Contact person for Amex / KDS travel costs reporting system

 

The profile

To be considered for the role, you need to hold a master’s degree in finance or other relevant economic background as well as 3-5 years of experience within controlling, accounting or similar. Solid SAP experience is a requirement.

In addition, the ideal candidate:

  • Is business-oriented with a strong commercial understanding
  • Has excellent communication skills. 
  • Thrives when working independently (this role is the only financial controller in the CRL team
  • Is a team player and proactively takes ownership and drives improvements in the area of your responsibilities
  • Is structured, process oriented and flexible towards many tasks, while able to maintain the helicopter perspective
  • Shows a positive open mind, also when things get tough. 

The position is located in Copenhagen and reports to the Director of Research Support, however with a dotted line into Carlsberg Group controlling team.
