We Offer The Global Head of Inventory Management role will establish and lead a corporate centre of excellence for Inventory Management across the entire value chain in Maersk Oil. Furthermore, the role aims to share knowledge, experience and best practice across the business and overall provide professional Inventory Management to enable the efficient execution of Maersk Oil’s strategy. You will get a unique opportunity to shape this role and together with the global community you will shape the future of Inventory Management in Maersk Oil. The Inventory Management community team consists of the Global Head of Inventory Management and the Business Units Heads of Inventory and Warehouse Management. Key Responsibilities The responsibilities of the Global Head of Inventory Management include the following areas and specific tasks: Function Excellence • Functional / Indirect leadership globally of all Head of Inventory Management in all Business Units within Maersk Oil • Establish an Inventory Management community and a corporate centre of excellence to share knowledge, experience and best practice • Develop existing talent and teams, ensuring that we have the right competencies and capabilities in place. Process Excellence • Accountable for establishing a governance framework for assuring effective Inventory Management operations in respect of HSE, Operations and legislative compliance. • Establish best in class processes, standards and guidelines for Inventory Management across the organisation • In collaboration with the business, improve the overall demand planning process via implementation of robust Material Replenishment Planning process • Develop and support the implementation of Inventory Management IT systems and tools • Establish a global performance management system to improve performance transparency, provide assurance and drive continuous improvement. Internal Customers Management • Champion the implementation of the Inventory Standard and Guidelines and be a role model in professional Inventory Management • Support of internal customers. Build strong relations and align strategic direction with Global Safety & Operations, Wells, Corporate Technology and Projects etc. Who we are looking for You hold a degree in Supply Chain Management (or other relevant degree) preferably with significant knowledge and understanding of Oil & Gas business and associated equipment. and/or extensive Inventory Management experience in a management capacity. Experience with successfully managing an Inventory Management function is desired along with a track record of leading and delivering efficiency improvements. You will also have direct involvement in change management programs and performance measurement, hence you should have a deep understanding of Inventory Management and Supply Chain operations / business challenges and the ability to translate them into solutions is critical. You have strong organisational skills and are a strong written & verbal communicator with solid interpersonal skills. You have a high level of energy, good project management skills and a strong focus on servicing internal customers. The position is placed in Copenhagen, but will require some business travel.
