Vattenfall is one of Europe’s largest electricity generators and producer of heat and operates in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map to achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

You will be part of the SCADA infrastructure team responsible for data integration of all wind farms. Collect, store and process data related to wind, to offer the business process data to support their task through advanced  and reporting tools. 

Main responsibilities as Platform Administrator.

As a Platform Administrator you will take part of the daily operations task. This includes deploying
new server in a VMware environment, patching servers, managing Veeam backup/restore, storage systems, implement new designs, updating documentation, writing procedures.You will also be responsible for rolling out active directory server, and upgrading the existing, including PKI infrastructure. 

Job functions:

• Building and maintaining Microsoft Active directory including PKI infrastructure.
• Managing Veeam backup and disaster restore.
• Perform upgrades to operating systems and software packages (Windows)
• Collaborate with team members to resolve problems.
• Maintaining the virtual infrastructure hardware, operating systems, and VMs on servers which support business processing requirements.
• Operate Orion SolarWinds monitoring system
• Proactively monitor event logs for changes or errors.
• Operate and plan in Jira project and Jira service desk
• Be a part of the daily operations

Required Skills and Experience:

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Active directory, and PKI infrastructure / Certificates, GPOs, logon scripts, security groups, and OU structure.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2008R2/2012/2012R2/2016.
• Good understanding about IT/OT security
• Experience with administration of VMware.
• Experience with EMC / Dell VNXe, Unity, Storage is preferred.
• Experience working in a ISO27001 and ITIL environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive approach to problem solving
• The successful candidate must have the ability to oversee all aspects of data center operations including but not limited to replacement of equipment, cable management, ensuring proper cooling and power, maintenance of schematics, inventory management, and future planning.

Moreover, you have strong communication skills and are able to communicate well with representatives from various professional groups, external business partners and colleagues

Location
The location of the position is Esbjerg. The job can require limited travelling activities to our Wind project sites in Europe.
