Control Engineering > Control Systems > Sensor
Vestas Power Solutions is the cornerstone of Vestas. Through innovation, development and continuous product improvement we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas. To put it short: Vestas Power Solutions develops the wind power systems of the future. The Sensor department develops and maintains advanced sensor solutions for all Vestas turbines. 
You will be part of the Sensor development team, which sets the requirements for advanced sensor solutions, owns the sensor system design and develop both software and hardware and do test and verification of the entire sensing system.

Responsibilities

• You will be engaged in integrating new features into the turbine and in changes, improvements and updates to existing sensor functions. 
• You will be part of identifying and specifying new sensor solutions with subsequent qualification and integration in the turbine.
• You will be coordinating and driving technical tasks/solutions in different projects and actively work with the sensor team as well as external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor of Engineering. Preferable in the following or similar discipline:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Machinist (marine)
• Knowledge of engineering change management.
• Experience in working with Bill of Materials.
• Experience with system integration/implementation (electrical/mechanical).
• Some knowledge of EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility) and EMC testing.
• Knowledge of electrical systems.

Competencies

• Highly independent and self-initiated to learn.
• Good communication skills both to internal team members and to external stakeholders.
• Good at coordinating and follow-up.
