For our Blades Department Structural Design Engineer who is a specialist within the field of composite structures and dedicated to the development of our future products, for our Blade Department. The Department has the full responsibility for structural design, materials and structural validation of our wind turbine blades, and work in close collaboration with aerodynamics, other R&D functions, and the Production department. The department is a part of Technology and the position is located in Aalborg. What are my responsibilities? · Specification of blade tests. · Analysis of wind turbine blade structures · FEA and analytical modeling of composite structures · Validation of wind turbine blade structures through e.g. full scale and substructure test · Definition of specifications regarding blade test. · Analysis of defects and failure in fiber-reinforced polymer materials · Certification documentation according to industry-specific guidelines (wind turbine blades) · Develop and improve test tools, methodologies and processes ensuring a high level of confidence and quality in blade tests What do I need to qualify for this job? · You hold a MSc. degree in mechanical engineering or similar preferably combined with experience in or knowledge of fiber-reinforced polymer materials, possibly from the wind turbine blade industry · You are a high-performing team player aiming for excellence and high quality in your work while respecting deadlines · You have a good understanding of R&D processes · You need to able to handle more tasks concurrently due to the multi-disciplinary working environment · You possess excellent English skills orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
