As Mechanical Engineer in our team you must be confident enough to take part in the overall responsibility for the mechanics in the robot by putting your knowledge and experience directly into the development and implementation of the robots. You will become part of a high-performance team, which is jointly responsible for devising and developing new robot mechanical designs in close collaboration with software and electronics. You will be part of the Front Office Team within the R&D Department – a job that requires accommodating behavior and an out-going and positive personality. Your primary assignments: Product maturing and internal product support to all departments 3D design in Solid Works of all the mechanical robot parts (plastics and metal parts, cables etc.) Simulation of mechanical components Preparation and maintenance of drawings Preparation of test specifications Ongoing optimization of prices, weight, strength, etc. Quality assessment and selection of suppliers (in close cooperation with the procurement department) The ideal candidate We picture you as a mechanical engineer with at least 3-5 years of experience from a similar position. Maybe your background is different though – we are happy to be proven wrong. However, it is key to us that your experience and intelligence enable you to develop mechanics that work the first time. You write and speak English fluently.
