Advanced Manufacturing Engineering is a global organization that target to innovate and improve production technology to create competitiveness for Grundfos. We set the direction on how to produce for Grundfos operations.
Our department support the Grundfos production. In the department, we are 20 engineers, focusing on developing and implementing innovative manufacturing solutions for Grundfos. We are working as global teams and we work virtually cross boarder as well as onsite in development projects.

We are highly specialized within integrative robotic solutions and laser technology, it makes us a trusted advisor across the group. Our job is to develop trend-setting manufacturing technologies and future platforms, enabling a better utilization and flexibility to production. Implementing manufacturing processes to become fully automated. You will report to Manager Morten Houlind Simonsen.
“You join a highly technical and project-oriented department that is passionate about implementation of manufacturing technology. Aside from running major projects, we also carry out technology development which involves simulation, maturation and integration. We are the ones to integrate the different technologies into one joint, robust production solution” Morten explains.
What is the job about?
You will be responsible for preparing concepts, specifying and designing mechanical solutions for manufacturing technology projects. This will also entail digitalisation in production development, simulation of manufacturing concepts and processes as well as development of manufacturing platforms. You will document processes according to specifications for operating and safety precautions.
Specifically, your tasks will be to:
- generate and draft new manufacturing concepts together with the team
- making 3D design (we use Catia)
- ensure production robustness through Line simulation and process design, choosing solutions, components and materials with your team and key stakeholders
- simulation of welding processes and virtual commissioning
- develop platforms to improve and modularise manufacturing capabilities
- support our partners in their deliveries to Grundfos
- ensuring safety and health requirements on new machines
What do you need to apply?
“On a personal level, you are fascinated about implementing automated manufacturing solutions and developing technology processes. You work in a structured manner and with a good logical sense. Also, you are focused on the detail and investigating issues to find solutions and develop new technologies to ensure a robust production. And you are a team player because we work as a team,” Morten concludes.
Furthermore you:
- have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and preferably good experience with manufacturing technology. However, fresh graduates are also invited to apply.
- have participated in manufacturing concept development and worked with technology development, process simulation and risk assessment.
- have experience with implementation of manufacturing solutions and the challenges in creating a robust design (6 Theta).
- have experience with 3D design.
- speak and write English effortlessly.
