About the department The Microbial Competence Centre (MCC) with 18 employees is a high-performing scientific department in Diabetes Finished Product (DFP) Quality control (QC). Our main tasks are support of our global production sites, analysis of products for clinical trials (injectables and tablets), and excipients and transfer of microbiological methods on diabetes products to these sites. We perform efficacy tests of disinfectants and preservatives, Growth Promotion Test of media, Sterility Test and Endotoxin Test on our finished products and viable counts of various water and product samples. The job You will be responsible for some of the analytical methods and related equipment (URS, qualification, calibration etc.) in our portfolio, ensuring that the processes are performed correctly and always are in compliance with the current internal and external requirements according to GMP and the pharmacopoeias (Ph. Eur., USP and JP). This responsibility applies both within the MCC department and towards global Novo Nordisk microbiological laboratories. As a method owner you must regularly provide scientific support to our technicians and customers and ensure that the methods and equipment are fully optimised and suitable for their intended purpose. Qualifications You have profound knowledge about microbiological data analyses. You are familiar with aseptic production processes and know what it takes to comply with good manufacturing practice (cGMP). You have a minimum of four years’ experience from the pharmaceutical industry e.g. in microbiology, analytical support or quality assurance. You have a master degree in the natural sciences (Microbiology, Pharmacy, Human biology or equivalent). You must have good communication and collaborative skills, be well organised and be able to prioritise your own work. Also, you must enjoy working under pressure as we have many challenging tasks with ambitious deadlines. You are fluent in both written and spoken English and an experienced MS Office user.
