Right now, we are looking for a Network Specialist who is eager to soak up new technologies and takes great pride in creating a stable and secure network platform for our business to grow on.

The team

You will become part of a team of highly skilled Network Specialists on the path towards becoming a self-organizing and high-performing agile team. We have end-to-end responsibility for our global network infrastructure, share a passion for new technologies and are open to analysing and challenging our existing platforms. At the same time, we are key players in a wide range of network and security related projects We aim to keep our solutions simple and deliver with the end-user in mind.

In BESTSELLER IT, the atmosphere is more like that of a start-up than an IT department with hundreds of colleagues. We have rapid decision processes, there is room for experimenting with new technologies, and we move fast from idea to execution.

The position

As a Network Specialist in BESTSELLER IT you will be supporting our many and diverse ongoing projects, where your input and technical knowledge will be invaluable. Some of our current projects include diverse areas such as:

• Modernizing our WAN platform to enable future growth and cloud services
• A complete switch of our retail network platform, helping 2200+ retail stores grow their turnover and customer satisfaction
• Increasing our network security via network access solutions and network segmentation
• Maintaining and looking into the future of our core network based on Cisco.

In addition, you assist with the day to day running of our corporate network, where you deliver value by maintaining and troubleshooting on our existing network and configuring everything from firewalls to switches.

Qualifications

Whether you have a Master's degree in data sciences or you are a self-taught network wizard is less important. What matters to us is that you approach your work with an open mind and that you possess a natural curiosity to learn and evolve. In addition, we are looking for the following:

• A general understanding of network security
• Knowledge with one or more of the hardware platforms FortiNet, Cisco and HP Aruba
• Certification at CCNA-level within one of the above technologies is an advantage, but not a requirement
• Knowledge of NAC solutions and programming/APIs is desirable
• Knowledge of agile methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum is considered a plus
• Fluent in English, both orally and written.

You have a strong desire to learn and understand new technologies. Being part of a small international team, it is natural for you to share your knowledge and to inspire and support your colleagues. You contribute constructively to team discussions and enjoy finding solutions to complex problems together. You strive to maintain a "business first" mindset and thrive in a role where you collaborate closely with colleagues across both the business and internally in BESTSELLER IT.
