Would you like to work on a high profile offshore project where you can apply your expertise within jacket and topside structural analysis and offshore processes? And can you help plan, coordinate and execute major offshore assignments? We Offer An exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Structural Engineer to join a high profile Brownfield Team in Maersk Oil. In this project, we will prepare, - design, plan and execute, existing facilities for a major revamp. Your role will be to help develop and drive our work on the structural design and reanalysis of exiting jackets. Overall, you will have excellent learning and development opportunities within the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group. Key Responsibilities As Structural Engineer, you will cooperate with Structures and Pipelines colleagues regarding jacket reanalysis and conductor reanalysis. You will also work on well head access deck design. Other areas include existing modules and bridges; lifting analysis, strengthening design, lifting procedures and concepts. More generally, you evaluate options and solutions to ensure that the best solutions are selected. You also carry out internal quality control of the work being delivered by the team as well as by external parties. More specifically, your tasks will be to: Prepare the Basis of Design (BoD) and prepare Scope of Work and design contractors. Evaluate bids, design contractors and prepare specifications for external contractors. Perform screenings of technical solutions and oversee and follow up on external design contractors and vendors. Coordinate with all involved parties in the project team and the Offshore Construction Group, to assure continual iteration of optimal solutions and alignment of interfaces. Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, lay-out review etc. Provide technical direction for design contractors. Prepare communication materials based on the evaluation outcome to both internal and external stakeholders. Who we are looking for In this position, it is important that you are able to collaborate and communicate with numerous stakeholders. At the same time, you have the experience to be able to work independently on facilities and across disciplines with minimal supervision. More specifically, you are skilled within jacket and topside structural analysis, and you are familiar with industry and Maersk Oil internal design standards and have knowledge of planning and executing offshore work. Also, you have the problem solving skills to navigate through the complex task of reusing 30 year old jackets. Moreover, you understand the broader implications of technical work, such as operability, modifications requirements, economics, etc. and finally, you are innovative and enjoy challenging the established ways of working.
