Product Owner / Product Manager for Developing Digital Services

About the Position

The Digital Services Development team is looking for a Product Owner and/or Product Manager, eager to take on exciting tasks developing digital services for our end customers.

The Product Owner is accountable for the delivery of market-leading services that create obvious and compelling value to our customers and exceed company and customer objectives. You will work very closely with all stakeholders, including sales, marketing, subject matter experts, engineering, operations, compliance, quality assurance, and customer support. The Product Owner will act as a key innovator and contributor to the ultimate success of the assigned product. You will join our development team in building the next generation of our digital services from the ground up. We are a new team with a t-shirt environment and flexible management. What are my responsibilities?

• Develop detailed product stories/requirements, in an agile environment, to ensure product delivery consistency with target personas, motivators and expectations
• Actively participate in all aspects of the product development cycle
• Work closely with all stakeholders to communicate customer needs, adjust requirements based on technical feedback, prioritize requirements, and manage to change priorities
• Establish and maintain a strong relationship with customer-facing staff as a critical resource to address critical pre- and post-sales customer product issues and ultimately help drive product sales engagements to closure
• Lead through influence in both commercial, technical and functional settings
• Responsible for business case, budget and project ROI

 

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Must be self-starting, hardworking and inquisitive
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English. Spanish is a plus
• A proven track record for high-quality product delivery, within the Wind Industry or Digital native companies is a plus
• In-depth understanding of the agile software development cycle and methodologies
• Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Must work well with others of all personality types in an intense environment
• Teamwork, attention to detail, and great communication skills are required
• Driven, creative, and results-oriented applicants are highly preferred
• A Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent professional experience
• A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a product development and/or Software Development environment
• A minimum of 2 years of work experience directly related scrum/agile product delivery experience
• A minimum of 2 years leading people and cross functional teams (either through influence or direct report)
