Experienced Project Manager, Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Aarhus (DK) Department Within Manufacturing and Global Sourcing you'll find the PEX organization focusing on managing the processes for excellent execution. One of the key areas here is the Strategic Project organization, where Projects management is the key word, and where IPD is situated. IPD is a department focusing on Integrated Product Development acting as the interface in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects between Global Sourcing and the Vestas Technology and Service Solution functions. Through advanced procurement Engineering and early involvement we focus on securing a design that complies with our Sourcing setup, to enable seamless implementation and provide an optimized cost structure. To accommodate this need, we have structured IPD with reference to Vestas Technology and Service Solution function having two primary roles. One role focusing on Platforms and the other focus on the Systems. This enables us to project manage activities according to platform projects but also through system approach work on detailed level. Responsibilities and Tasks You will be responsible for the 3MW platform, where you will become a member of the Core Team. The key areas of focus are: Plan and drive Global Sourcing involvement from the early stages of the projects, ensuring that Global Sourcing will meet the gate criteria in NPI projects. Ensure handling of risk management related to Global Sourcing Ensure that target costing for sourced items is aligned and will be meet for serial production Ensure that investments related to serial production are identified and controlled. Ensure that Design for Sourcing is taken into account during product development Create clear transparency of the project activities to the primary stakeholders Qualifications and Work Experience Engineer holding minimum a Bachelor degree, complemented with project management experience Experience with advanced procurement Engineering or similar knowledge from purchasing will be an advantage. Prince 2 certified, IPMA level C or similar High level of knowledge and experience regarding Value Chain Good skills in and experienced in stakeholder management Experience with change management Strong networking skills English on negotiation level What we offer As a member of this team you will become a key player for our future product development.
