Project Manager for technology projects in Corporate Procurement

About the department

The position is based in the Product Supply Sourcing Team which is part of Corporate Procurement. Corporate Procurement is responsible for the indirect spend in Novo Nordisk and for defining and driving the Global Procurement strategy. Corporate Procurement consists of 140 employees based in Denmark and India, and globally 500 people work in procurement.

Corporate Procurement is anchored with direct report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Novo Nordisk.

 

The position

As part of Product Supply Sourcing, you will join a team of 8+ highly talented and ambitious individuals, consisting of project managers with broad backgrounds in, business development, procurement and data analytics. As Project Manager, you will report to the Manager of the team.

In your role, you will take on the responsibility of driving technology and development projects at one or more production sites in Denmark. You will work in close collaboration and on site with line of business in our Biopharm area where you will focus on value-adding activities. You will add value by having an advisor and partnering role driving non-classical procurement projects, identifying areas of improvement and introducing new technologies.  Recent examples of projects include establishing an effective purchase governance framework, building and automating spend transparency, outsourcing a non-core activity and implementing RPA, Chatbots, Voice bots and freelancer platforms.

Qualifications

You have completed a relevant Master's degree and bring solid professional experience. You may have worked with procurement, project management or business development in a leading organisation. Previous experience with procurement is not required, but an advantage. We are looking for a self-driven project manager with the passion to drive and take ownership of new projects. Maybe you have previously worked with key account sales, IT or IT project management or have had your own business.

You have an entrepreneurial mind-set, a strong drive and ability to create results, solve problems and possess analytical skills. You focus on delivery and quality as well as identifying the right needs for the business. As you will cooperate broadly with many stakeholders, you have excellent collaboration skills and you communicate clearly and concisely. Your stakeholders range from colleagues in line of business to senior management. Finally, you work fluently in English and Danish.
