Hvad tilbyder vi? Reducing complexity is a key part of our strategic must-win-battles outlined in our new 2020 Group Strategy. We offer you the opportunity to lead activities that streamline our product portfolio and ultimately impact our financial bottom line. And you will do this right from the heart of one of the world’s largest business development organizations within the pump industry. You become part of our Global Projects & Planning department in Bjerringbro, Denmark. Initially, you will be conducting network leadership with support from a relatively light team of skilled graduates and interns, as well as a planning team within the department, Product Data Management, and our IT department. The plan is to add additional resources according to the development of scope, plan and success rate. You refer to Senior R&D Director, Frank Radich. ”You will be the key person to drive and lead this vital strategic initiative and will get to interact with colleagues from all over the organization. But you will not be alone as you will have Group Management in the overall steering committee and a strong reference group consisting of senior/executive managers in Grundfos,” Frank explains. Hvad drejer jobbet sig om? You will be responsible for driving and pursuing systematic and continuous complexity reduction across our entire Grundfos product portfolio. We have already paved the way for you with a remarkable clean-up achievement where the portfolio has been reduced with more than half a million product numbers. You will now continue the success by driving what we call Complexity Reduction 2.0 which is the type of complexity reduction that is more challenging but also has more direct bottom-line impact. Thus, you will be involved in redesigning and optimising our various product programmes. Another important part of your job is to ensure that the newly implemented governance structure for complexity reduction gets fully anchored and continuously developed in the organization, and that we achieve a best-in-class state. Your job responsibility will also be to establish a structured process for life cycle management of our products, covering both phase-out of existing and phase-in of new product numbers. We already have a project running to deal with the phase-out part, and you will have to lead the completion of this. The phase-in part is a more challenging sub-project where you will have to lead activities right from scoping to actual deployment. As we progress with reducing complexity, we imagine that the management scope will broaden to also include more design-driven product complexity and component complexity, as well as complexity within tools and processes, e.g. to streamline our various product/solution development processes. Hvad skal der til for at ansøge? You hold a master in business or engineering degree combined with good financial acumen. Furthermore, you have solid work experience, including experience with reducing product complexity, and you are familiar with SAP and IT systems for handling master data, status codes, etc. You have great leadership and project management skills, with experience from managing large, global cross-organizational projects. You speak and write English fluently. Danish is an advantage. On a personal level, you have international experience and excellent collaboration and communication skills, enabling you to work at all levels of the organization. You argue both passionately and rationally for key points but also respect senior management decisions. With your excellent structural, analytical, and problem solving skills as well as your good business and financial understanding, you independently drive initiatives and motivate your colleagues.
