Senior Manager, Enzyme Purification & MS, R&D, Bagsværd If you want a career that lets you combine excellent people skills with scientific excellence and commercial value, you could be our new manager for department Enzyme Purification & MS. You will lead a department of around 16 talented and passionate scientists and research associates organized in smaller teams; and you are responsible for the department continuously delivering value to R&D projects by purifying proteins in a high-throughput and efficient manner; and for delivering mass spectrometry analysis, both standard MS characterizations and state-of-the-art proteomics methods to drive our discovery of new enzyme activities. It is very important that the department is at the forefront of protein purification and mass spectrometry by scouting and implementing new technologies and equipment from outside NZ. Additionally, you are responsible for continuously developing the department to become an even higher performing team that collaborate across the globe, and you’re able to motivate people while solving complex long-term goals & settings in a holistic and optimistic manner. You will be a member of the Enzyme Discovery leadership team and participate actively in setting the priorities, organizational development and strategic direction for the area. You report to the Director for Enzyme Discovery. In this position: Experience within protein purification and mass spectrometry is considered an advantage You hold a Ph.D. and at least 3 years of relevant job experience in protein chemistry You have project leader experience, and are either an experienced People Manager or have a strong motivation and talent to become one You inspire and motivate people across cultures, and have demonstrated excellent networking & change management skills You have a strong drive for creating results and making a difference, and are able to create results through others It is essential that you are a strong communicator, open-minded and have a positive attitude Are you the next Zymer in our team?
