Senior Structural Engineer to strengthen our technical environment

Are you an experienced structural engineer from the offshore, building, or infrastructure industry, construction contracting, or have you previously worked with structural design in the energy sector? Design large steel solutions You will play an important part in the design and assessment of large offshore steel structures, e.g. topside modules, bridges and FPSO modules for the international offshore market, as well as onshore structures for refineries. You will be a part of a project team, where your role will be as a senior engineer within the structural discipline. In a smaller, yet substantial part of the position, you will also act as a coach/mentor for junior employees, typically 1-3 colleagues at a time. In your mentoring role you will primarily focus on design and analysis tasks, and help to improve their skills through professional discussions and sparring. Other tasks will be to: Function as senior engineer working on small to medium offshore topside projects. Focus will typically be on structural design and construction Design steel structures with special focus on design of joints and connections Develop overall structural layouts and design of structural solutions for our clients Work together with 2D/3D CAD technicians to produce drawing materials Prepare design calculations either via structural analysis programs or desktop calculations Produce installation procedures for structures to be installed offshore You will also get the chance to travel offshore in the Danish and Norwegian sector of the North Sea to perform survey tasks, normally 2-4 times a year, 1-2 days per trip. Your design solutions demonstrate your understanding of how every detail fits into the bigger picture. You may already know the industry, but if not, we will teach you everything you need to know. To succeed in the role, you need to have: A bachelor or master degree in engineering of buildings/structures or machinery Min. 4 years of experience within design of steel structures, preferably from the on- or offshore industry in Scandinavia or another region with offshore energy production Fluency in English written and orally Experience from project manager/lead engineer position for design projects, including estimates and control of cost, time, resources and quality is an advantage but not a pre-requisite Your new colleagues The Topside Structures department consists of 30 highly skilled colleagues in three topside teams and a CAD team, delivering high end design services within offshore steel structures.
