Job Description

Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls (RAC), R&D and Engineering is looking for a Senior Value Engineer in Kolding or Nordborg. Your role will be to develop and maintain high technical knowledge in the discipline of cooling and Air conditioning as well as for Industrial refrigeration related to design to support the Value Engineering team. Furthermore, you will run cost-down activities, as a project, and coordinate between different function like supplier and Danfoss. You will align activates between Simulation fast prototyping and evaluate the results and adopt and adjust the design to achieve high value of the product.   Preferably, you have solid experience in design of mechanical products with continuous focus on improving quality, cost and time to market by use of simulation, fast prototyping and platform-based development. As a person you are innovative, fact-based, quality and result-oriented, positive, open-minded and a good team player who can interact with others across borders and cultures. You can expect approximately 10-20 days of travel per year, primarily to customers and suppliers.Background and skillsTo be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Mechatronics or similar education combined with a technical background, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Min. 10 years of experience with design of mechanical products
• Experience with valve designs, preferably within refrigeration applications
• Knowledge about line component and valves and Filter dryer
• Basic project coordinator experience
• Project management or team leader experience
• Experience with 3D CAD and simulation
• Proficient and comprehensive in English
• SAP and PDM would an advantage
