The position 

Would you like to be part of one of the world’s most pioneering online travel companies? Do you thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? momondo is looking for a driven and experienced social media professional to drive the delivery and ongoing development of momondo’s social media presence. As a Social Media Manager you will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring our social media campaigns and activities globally, with a special focus on Denmark, Sweden and Germany. You must be passionate about social media, travel, content, social conversion, product, data, analytics and reporting, and ready to get stuck in. You will be part of the global momondo Brand Marketing Team and report to the Global Digital Director.

 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for driving the branded experience, creating something truly inspiring and unique in the way we publish content and interact on social media.
• Responsible for overseeing and supporting the social media calendar and distribution schedule as well as working closely with the Paid Social team to amplify this
• Key influence on Paid Social media strategy for social media engagement to drive incremental revenue growth
• Working with agencies and internal development team to create viral social media content and campaigns that drive customer engagement and incremental revenue.
• Responsible for continual experimentation and scaling within social media activities to increase customer engagement.
• Responsible for monthly reporting on social media content, engagement and campaign effectiveness, working closely with the Paid Social Media Planner to demonstrate revenue growth via reporting on activities undertaken.
• Exploring new and emerging social media platforms and opportunities
• Lead on full cross-brand community management strategy
• Monitoring and community management for all markets, but primarily Denmark, Sweden, Germany

 

 Additional Skills and Personal Attributes

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in digital marketing preferable both client and agency side - working for a major brand would be a bonus!
• Minimum 5+ years dedicated experience working with social media
• Extensive experience managing the planning, production and optimization of social media content, intended to drive growth in brand engagement
• Strong language skills - preferably with both German, Danish, and Swedish but not essential
• Commercial experience with major social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.), with track-record of successful use that drove business results
• Strong understanding around the variety of content that drives high levels of engagement, as well as that which allows brands to truly stand out from competitors – specifically surrounding social content
• Solid understanding and experience of marketing analytics and tracking
• Experience working simultaneously across multiple countries/locations preferable, but not essential
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, and presentation delivery
• Entrepreneurial spirit and facility for creative problem solving
