Vattenfall is one of Europe’s largest electricity generators and producer of heat and operates in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map to achieving climate neutrality by 2050. We are looking for a Software developer to support new wind projects and daily operation of the Wind power data center to secure that Vattenfall Wind Power gain competitive advantages in operation of existing wind turbines, project development, implementation and operation of future wind farms. As one of the key functions in Vattenfall’s wind business the Competence Area “SCADA Solutions” is in general responsible for supporting wind projects, operational sites and other business units in managing SCADA data (and other sources) to provide software tools and services for dashboarding, reporting and steering of wind farms as well as power trading. You will be part of a dedicated team which consists of 8 employees (Software developers and SCADA engineers). Your responsibilities as Software developer will be bridging between the Wind business processes and supporting SCADA/IT solutions which is based on the translation of functional requirements into the design of appropriate technical tools and services. In addition, you will be actively involved in the implementation and the maintenance of our back-end services. Your qualifications as Software developer: Technical background: • Master of Science in Information Technology or equivalent or documented similar long-time experiences• Programming experience. C# (must-have) and Python (nice-to-have)• Strong skills with back-end development• Good knowledge about SQL/relational database, real time database systems• Server Operating systems• Experience working with different SCADA systems Business experiences and personal capabilities: • 3-5 years of experience, ideally in the Wind industry• High analytical skilled problem solver and strategic thinker• You have worked in international, multicultural organizations• A true team player and possess strategic skills• Have strong drive, business acumen and performance orientation• You are comfortable working in a team with focus on development• You have a flexible and can-do attitude As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently. Moreover, you have strong communication skills and are able to communicate well with representatives from various professional groups, external business partners and colleagues.
