We are looking for a software developer for a team lead position with a strong understanding of the latest advances in software development and proven leadership qualities.

Primary areas of responsibility

As a software development lead, you will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of our frontend and backend systems, as well as our software delivery flow. You are expected to also write code, keeping in mind the big picture goals as well as the small technical implementation details. You will lead and mentor your fellow team members and also interface with our key clients.

Our expectations of you The competences that will be required:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript / TypeScript, and other programming languages.
  • Experience designing and developing backend and frontend systems.
  • Experience with database systems.
  • Experience with deploying software effectively.

You are also be expected to be:
  • Results-oriented, able to prioritize the relevant tasks and delegate effectively.
  • Approachable, able to build rapport with fellow team members and key clients.
  • Enthusiastic about the latest software development advances, as well as proven engineering best practices.

It would be a plus to have experience with:
  • Agile development (Scrum etc).
  • Designing domain specific solutions.
  • UNIX systems.
  • OpenStack, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
