Can you take our global MES solutions even higher? We are eager to delegate a large part of the responsibility to you, if you are ready to grasp the challenge. We are on a journey to implement MES solutions at a global scale, and look forward to welcoming you onboard. “Dairy” is the department covering Manufacturing Execution & Automation across the global Arla organisation. We define and maintain a corporate standard toolbox within MES & Automation, and collaborate with stakeholders across our sites. The toolbox is applied by a large number of trusted suppliers into specific solutions at our manufacturing sites around the globe.

The job

To be a success, you will contribute to setting the overall direction for the next generation of MES solutions. You join our team in developing the architecture and will handle complexity in the processes both at the strategic and operational level. You will get the opportunity to work with extremely complex projects and bring your MES domain knowledge into our corporate solutions, and be responsible for a designated functional area within your area of expertise.

You question our processes in search for opportunities for continuous improvement and deliver knowledge into projects that will have major impact on our functional success. All in all, you ensure that our MES solutions are mature, well-documented and live up to the needs of our customers, the Arla Foods Supply Chain.

Driving standardisation of the area includes cost-optimal migration of the current production database and development of tomorrow’s best practice methods, applications and interfaces. Another important part of your job will be to ensure proper documentation and education material for our suppliers and other stakeholders.

You are

Either you hold a Master’s degree within Engineering or IT, have gained some experience with MES solutions preferably from the food or other related industry and have a huge appetite for becoming one of the top MES Consultants within Food. You might also already have comprehensive experience working with MES solutions, maybe even with consultancy experience from developing MES solutions within Food or a related industry.

Regardless of the above, you must have profound analytical skills and the ability to handle intricate processes and data models in a complex system landscape. You are thus well-versed within applications, data structures and solutions, and you have the capacity to create the foundation for an efficient and stable master data environment. You might previously have been working with standardisation in large-scale organisations and have successfully headed implementation of international standards as e.g. ISA-88. As we work agile in Arla IT, it would be great if you are familiar with Scrum processes, however if you are not, you will learn.

Ideally you have experience from working in a multicultural environment and as we operate in a global organisation, it is important that you communicate effortlessly in English in writing as well as spoken.
