For our office in Brande, Denmark we are looking for a bright Structural Designer to further enrich our Power-Transformer Unit Team in Technology. The Power-Transformer Unit Team which consists of dedicated employees with different educational background is responsible for the structural design of the structure supporting the electrical units inside the wind turbine towers. What are my responsibilities? As a Structural Designer you will be working with a wide range of design related tasks. A large part of your responsibility will require your design expertise for review, support and coordination more than actual design tasks. Your design expertise is needed for R&D tasks done by external service providers. You will be the external service providers link to internal design guidelines, production etc. Additionally, you will be responsible for securing coherence between design and BOM (Bill of Materials) and you will be responsible for keeping the overview of available designs. Further, maintenance of existing designs and handing of non-conformance cases will be within your scope of work. Your stakeholders will be the departments such as tower external structure, tower internals, electrical, service, quality, production and test as well as the project organization and external service providers. Your assignments will include the following: Securing coherence between designs and BOMs (Bill of Materials) Support and coordination with external service providers Review of 3D, 2D and structural calculations Minor structural calculations of steel and aluminium constructions. CAD design Team Center Design support to Siemens India. Maintainance of existing designs Production and test assembly support What do I need to qualify for this job? You hold a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering As a person you are outgoing, proactive and enthusiastic You are structured, innovative, and accommodating to challenges You have good communication and English skills, both orally and in writing. You possess the ability to work both independently and in teams. In addition, your approach to task solving is both analytical and practical and you are good at planning You have experience with coordination of minor projects You master design according to Eurocode and preferably you are familiar with CE marking You master the use of Inventor and NX You are familiar with SAP In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
