Student Analysts, Scouting & Exploration, Lyngby, Denmark
The Scouting & Exploration team is part of Novozymes’ New Business Development, Incubation & Acquisitions (NBD, I&A) unit, which delivers rapid and radical growth opportunities for Novozymes. The Scouting & Exploration’s team primary responsibilities are to identify and mature promising new business and technology opportunities for Novozymes.
We work with a diverse range of internal stakeholders and external innovators to find and create meaningful opportunities and aim to ensure Novozymes continued relevance in key markets, technologies, and other areas of relevance in industrial biotechnology.

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated student business analyst with experience and interest in biotechnology, business development, and innovation. In this role, you will be supporting on our venture building efforts and minority investment activities, collaborating closely with the rest of the team. You will be working in the intersect between business and biotechnology being involved in both the commercial and technical elements of new business development. Furthermore, you will be a part of running and facilitating the project management activities in ongoing projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting market analyses including segmentation and evaluation of market size, growth, etc.
• Estimating attractiveness of new business opportunities and developing initial business cases
• Researching and gathering company specific insights
• Gathering commercial and technical insights used as a basis for decision-making
• Supporting on project management activities in ongoing projects
• Preparing material for internal and external presentations
• Various ad-hoc administrative and analytical tasks

The job is based in Bagsværd reporting to the Head of Scouting and Exploration, Anuj Dhariwal, but working closely with the other team members. The working hours 15-20 hours per week. The schedule is flexible during exam periods. Conversely, we expect you to put in an extra effort when needed.

In this position, you need to:

• Be studying a relevant degree within either business (e.g. business administration, international business, innovation, etc.) with a flair and interest in technology/science or studying a relevant degree in a scientific area (e.g. biotechnology, biology, biochemistry etc.) with a flair and interest in business
• Be end-bachelor or beginning of master
• Have professional proficiency in both oral and written English
• Have strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into insights
• Have a collaborative mindset
• Have strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
