We Offer The Copenhagen Finance Department has three main areas of responsibility: General Accounting, Accounts Payable and Corporate Cost Controlling. You will be part of the General Accounting team which is responsible for the general accounting for Maersk Oil and Gas (MOG). This includes setting up and maintaining efficient accounting procedures for Maersk Oil. In this respect, specific emphasis is put on intercompany and time-writing procedures. Key Responsibilities The key objective of the position is to assist the General Accounting Team in carrying out various accounting tasks, in particular with regards to the intercompany process e.g.: • Assisting with re-invoicing of various costs to intercompany parties • Issuing of intercompany invoices • Providing supporting documentation for intercompany re-invoicing • Assisting the branches with queries or further supporting documentation • Preparation of accruals specifications • Preparation of monthly reconciliations • Clearing and posting of balance sheet entries • Posting of journals • Filing and archiving • Various ad hoc tasks Who we are looking for You are studying for either your Bachelor or Masters’ degree within finance or accounting (Fx. Cand.Merc.Aud, Cand.Merc.AEF, Cand.Merc.ASC, Cand.Merc.FIR) and have a minimum of one year left of your studies. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills and an eye for details, strong communications skills. He or she has a high level of energy as well as being an advanced and proficient user of the Microsoft Office package. As you will become part of an international organisation with offices around the world and interactions with people from many cultures, you have to be proficient in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of SAP and BI reporting is an advantage. You will become part of a multi-cultural team and hence good collaboration skills are required. Expected work hours will be approximately 15-20 hours per week, with the opportunity to work more or less depending on your studies.
