Job Description

Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls (RAC), R&D and Engineering is looking for a Value Engineer in Kolding or Nordborg. Your role will be validation and verification of cost-down ideas and building and testing the prototypes. Furthermore, you will run cost-down activities, as a project, and coordinate between Procurement, Production and Quality during the feasibility study. Preferable you have several years of experience in design of mechanical products with continuous focus on improving quality, cost and time to market by use of simulation, fast prototyping and platform-based development. As a person you are innovative, fact-based, quality and result-oriented, positive, open-minded and a good team player who can interact with others, across borders and cultures. You can expect approximately 20-30 days of travel per year, primarily to other production sites customers and suppliers.

Background and skills
To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Mechatronics or similar education combined with a technical background, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Min. 5 years of experience with design of mechanical products
• Experience with valve designs, preferably within refrigeration applications
• Knowledge about solenoids and solenoids valves
• Project management or team lead experience
• Experience with 3D CAD and simulation
• Fluent and comprehensive in English
