About the department Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, and we are responsible for the strategic sourcing activities related to Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production sites as well as global management of suppliers. Strategic Sourcing is based in Bagsværd. The position is in the newly established department of Operational Supplier Management (OSM). OSM is responsible for managing our most strategic suppliers to Novo Nordisk’s production facilities globally, and we focus on driving supplier performance through close collaboration and alignment with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Also the department is responsible for internal supplier management processes. The job As Associate Supplier Manager you will be responsible for a range of suppliers which you will manage in close collaboration with Purchasing, Quality Assurance, international production sites and sourcing category managers. You will have an opportunity to work both individually as well as in close collaboration with Strategic Sourcing colleagues and with many stakeholders across the organization. You will be responsible for following up on suppliers performance including relationship management, risk mitigating activities, handling supply issues, reporting on performance parameters, etc. Qualifications We are seeking candidates with a Master degree in Business administration, or equivalent educational level. The candidate must have minimum of three years of relevant working experience with procurement and/or related and relevant areas within a multinational organization. You must be fluent in English (both written and oral). The job requires you to manage a broad range of contacts in Novo Nordisk as well as with suppliers worldwide. Hence, solid communication skills and the ability to work in a complex and dynamic organization while retaining focus on overall goals are prerequisites. You must be able to make sustainable decisions based on sound business judgement. As the supplier management activities are global, you should expect 20-40 days of travel activity annually. Engagement and a positive can-do-attitude attitude, demonstrated by good cooperation skills, are required. At Novo Nordisk, we create value by putting patients first.
