BPO Services Procurement Manager – Carlsberg Group

Are you highly motivated to drive and execute Carlsberg’s Global Procurement strategy of “Value-in / Cost-out” and do you have procurement experience in outsourced services with professional service providers, then you are the candidate we are looking for.

Carlsberg is looking for an experienced Sourcing / Procurement Manager who can support business requirements for Outsourced Services including IT Managed Services, Staff Augmentation, IT Consultancy and Implementation projects. 

Working closely together with the business, you will be responsible for understanding global IT related needs across various functions such as Commercial, Supply Chain and Finance, and match the identified needs with the best suppliers in terms of capabilities, service delivery and cost. In collaboration with the business and supported by technical architects, legal representatives and Carlsberg’s management, you lead sourcing initiatives from internal alignment to supplier engagement, negotiations and contract signature. 

To succeed in this position, it is crucial to have strong networking and interpersonal skills: maximum value is delivered through sound stakeholder relationships, process management and constructive supplier negotiations. You are analytically thorough whilst keeping a pragmatic overview of the big picture. 

The Sourcing/Procurement Manager is based in Copenhagen, Denmark and reports into Carlsberg’s Global Procurement function based in Switzerland.

 

Your new job 

The main objective of the Sourcing/Procurement Manager is to ensure that Carlsberg’s money is spend in the most professional and valuable way. You will own the Procurement category of IT Services, be responsible for setting and driving the Procurement strategy, and lead sourcing related activities and projects for new and existing solutions, thereby contribution to Carlsberg’s digital strategy. By doing so, you will engage with a wide spectrum of service providers, from large global consulting houses to small startups. Together with internal stakeholders and suppliers, you constructively challenge requirements and proposed solutions to secure the optimal fit between Carlsberg’s needs and IT service providers.

 

Main responsibilities

• Deploy Carlsberg’s global Procurement strategy and Sourcing Process within IT and potentially in other service areas to ensure that Carlsberg’s money is spent professionally
• Align business requirements with stakeholders across the Carlsberg Group
• Lead and contribute to sourcing projects including (re)negotiations and contracting
• Maximize value and limit the risk of proposed solutions

Your profile

This job is for you who has several years of experience in a global business environment with significant procurement accomplishments in BPO Services and/or other labor-related categories. Affinity with IT sourcing and IT contracting is a benefit. You have a win-win mentality and are able to identify and minimize commercial-, legal- and operational business risks, in competitive as well as monopolistic situations.

Your profile and skills include:

• Academic credentials in Management- or Business Administration with working experience in a multinational environment for 5+ years
• Experience with IT outsourcing, IT managed services, BPO, technical consultancy
• A people oriented team player with the ability to lead a change agenda in a global matrix organization
• High degree of business acumen – Operates on the crossroads of business, IT and cost management with the ability to identify procurement opportunities
• Constructive and inclusive approach – collaborates and aligns stakeholders across functions, is committed and takes ownership of challenges, and drives progress towards clear targets
• Representative towards external suppliers and skills to negotiate compliant, transparent and flexible solutions
• Fluent in English, reading and writing
