For our R&D Nacelle Department we are looking for an experienced Engineer. The Engineer is responsible for making Engineering Design Specifications for R&D projects, and ensuring that the technical solutions developed are in accordance hereto. You will act as technical supervisor for the Mechanical design-team and with your broad experience within system integration you will ensure that solutions are in accordance with all relevant requirements. R&D Nacelle department is responsible for product and technology developments for the entire Nacelle design. This include a.e. design and structural analysis of casted components and welded structures, system integration and lay-out of mechanical as well as hydraulic- and electrical components. What are my responsibilities? · Develop Design Specifications for R&D projects · Supervise design-team · Be part of design reviews for the entire technology area · Continuously develop Design Basis and -Rules to ensure that newest learnings and developments are captured What do I need to qualify for this job? · You hold a Master within Mechanical- or Structural engineering and minimum 7 years of experience within product development, preferable from Wind Turbine Business · You have experience from structural analysis work as well as mechanical design. · You have an in dept knowledge of the technologies in questions. · You know the commercial drivers for the areas · You possess high analytical skills and structural way of working · You are able to keep a holistic overview and thereby ensure that all aspects are taken into account in the solutions · Your approach to task solving is both technically sound and commercially viable. · You are outgoing and proactive, and you possess the ability to work both independently and in teams · You thrive in a multi-cultural environment and you are familiar with working in large matrix organizations · You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in both written and spoken English In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
