Alfa Laval is a strong and growing organization experiencing increasing demand for our solutions for processing equipment. We are therefore looking for a new Control Panel Designer for our Decanter and waste water automation group. Control Panel Designer will be responsible for control panels and systems within a wide product range. The automation group is responsible for control panel design in a number of different machinery, used in a wide range of different industries and applications. The group is also participating in project execution within water and waste treatment applications. We aim to supply high quality products and to offer the smartest possible solutions for our customers, optimizing their performance time and time again. In this position you will be responsible for every step in the control panel life cycle - from initial description to the final delivery. You will work in an international environment where you will be involved with all facets of control panel delivery and integration. Key tasks Design of panel solutions and control systems in approx. 35 panel variations in a range of products such as: ScrewPres, Aldrum, PurgePanel (Atex), IsoDisk Specification of software and testing of panels and equipment Maintenance of price updates and definition and cost calculations for non-standard solutions Maintenance and development of ordering tools and document libraries Supporting customers and partners within our product range solutions Delivering documentation for products and projects. Ideal candidate Electrical engineer with min. 5 years’ experience with control system design Proven record within designing power panels / VFD panels Deep knowledge of electrical drawings and configuration of equipment and instruments Strong experience with machinery directive EN60204-1 Routine user of CADDY++ (additional knowledge of E-Plan is an advantage) Knowledge of PLC programming is strongly preferred Experience with ATEX standard EN60079 is an advantage Steady person with good eye for details and systematic and structured working style.
