Be a part of Algorithmic Trading Solutions 
Algorithmic Trading Solutions is a young department at Centrica EM&T, but with a proven concept already. We are ambitious and aim not only for improving our existing trading setup, but we spear-head development of new sources of income.    

Our goals are two-fold: To develop and maintain a portfolio of fully automated algorithmic trading strategies across diverse trading desks, and to fully automate asset optimization via algorithms to maximize their value.    

To accomplish this, we are building a cross-disciplinary team combining the right knowledge and expertise across trading, analysis, and programming.    

As part of the team you will be involved in developing:  

  • The statistical foundation, modelling, and market understanding behind our algorithms 
  • The analytical platform on which we can develop, test and deploy trading strategies 
  • Both proprietary and asset-backed strategies  

Qualifications  
You have an intuitive feel for formulating and implementing numerical/mathematical models and algorithms. In addition to your PhD or master’s degree within a quantitative field, you are pragmatic and practical in your approach.    

Moreover, your experience includes: 

  • Implementing and developing numerical models as computer code (either from studies or previous positions).   
  • Working with established numerical techniques in fields such as Computational Finance, Control Theory, Multi-Physics Simulations, Machine Learning, ... 
  • At least one programming language (R, Matlab, Python, Fortran, or C#). In ATS, you will develop in R and C#, and will be expected quickly learn and start developing.
  • Handling problems with a high abstraction-level, and find juggling large, multi-dimensional data sets natural.
