For our Server, Database and Storage Operations department we are looking for a self-driven DBA specialist within MS SQL Servers. The team is part of our IT Infrastructure organization based in Brande, which supports all internal customers in the Siemens Wind Power business. Your primary role is to ensure that optimal solutions are implemented and administered as well as conducting strategic performance analysis. Being the primary point of contact towards internal decisions makers, it is important that you are a great listener and able to communicate your solutions into actions for implementation in a simple and precise manner. What are my responsibilities? · Ensuring centralized SQL server administration and maintenance · Planning and presenting strategies and methods for optimal back-up solutions for SQL. · Realizing performance optimization methods across servers. · Implementing and administering security policies via SQL Server Audit, Common Criteria Compliance. · Installing and updating Microsoft SQL server instances - clustered as well as non-clustered. · Implementing and advising on high availability technologies such as Log shipping, database mirroring, Always On, and clustering. What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have a relevant educational background within IT or equivalent qualifications. · Broad knowledge and several years of hands-on experience working with MS SQL Servers. · Strong analytical skills and used to work with statistics. · You possess great communication and presentation skills in English, both orally and in writing. · As a person you are proactive, extroverted and independent with a structured and quality oriented approach to your work. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
