Hvad tilbyder vi? Would you like to work with a variety of devices and lead a new department with a global responsibility? Do you see yourself working in a multinational company with a good mix of tasks at both an operational and a strategic level? You will lead the Device Operations Department which is part of the Grundfos IS Infrastructure Operations division. We are a new team of 6 with two employees in Manila. It is our responsibility to handle end user devices which includes all PC’s, notebooks, tablets, smartphones, printers, AV equipment and production IT PC’s. We take care of device technology selection and mature devices for use in the business in close collaboration with other infrastructure areas and the business partners. You will refer to the Director of IS Infrastructure Operations, Gerd Wieland. “Previously, most device related tasks have been carried out in different departments. Now, we are collecting them all here. As we are a new team, you will get the opportunity to develop the device strategy and to influence our direction and the way we work as well as lead a skilled team of professionals both locally and internationally,” Gerd says. Hvad drejer jobbet sig om? As Department Head, you will take up managerial tasks and focus on building the organisation, strategy and your team as well as define competencies and governance. Some of this exists in the IS organisation today, but it has never been combined for all device areas into one single delivery area. You will work closely with the IS Business Relationship Management and IS Solutions to understand business requirements. A central part of your role will be to maintain a combined device strategy covering all device categories. It is crucial that you understand how devices can support the business and make the link between the use of devices and our business goals. You ensure consistent governance on devices and enforce standards where necessary. Further, you ensure processes for lifecycle along with the maintenance of the device matrix, which is a key communication tool to the business. You also develop and execute a device exchange plan for our leased devices which need to be replaced every 3 years. “Your main challenge will be to ensure the right balance between providing a stable environment and operations based on a standardised approach for devices while, at the same time, meeting new requests from the business. Thus, you need to be able to focus on the operational level and streamlining it without losing the ability to innovate in this dynamic area ,” Gerd explains. Hvad skal der til for at ansøge? You have a university degree and 4+ years of experience in managing a department in a global organisation. As this is a new department your approach to people management will be important to your success. Further, you have excellent budget management skills and experience with developing strategies for a department. You have good knowledge of ITIL and strong analytical as well as planning skills. You speak and write English fluently. Danish is a plus. “As a person, you have great people management skills. You are a technology enthusiast with good knowledge of devices, you can anticipate how a device can benefit a business process, and you are able to build a corporate device out of a standard model. You have a good sight for usability and take a proactive and practical approach to your work. This enables you to act as a consultant for the company and find out what we need for our devices and our strategy to run effectively,” Gerd says.
