Are you passionate about design of new variants on existing product ranges, and does it motivate you to create innovative solutions with regard to customer demands? Can you ensure high quality and take responsibility for the product portfolio of pressure sensors? In Danfoss Industrial Automation, we are looking for at Design Engineer who will become part of an experienced and dedicated team of six employees who also support and align with our engineering team in China. At Danfoss Industrial Automation, we provide a wide range of sensors for monitoring or control of pressure and temperature. Customer requirements and design optimisation You will report to the Global Engineering Director, and in cooperation with the rest of the team and development department, you will be responsible for tasks and projects related to suppliers and customer requirements. With a systematic approach, you create variants and prototypes and prove performance and reliability for the products. You will be in contact with a wide range of stakeholders, working as a link between the suppliers and customers and creating alignment with the production. Furthermore, you will be responsible for leading the change control as well as focusing on analysis and problem solving in order to optimise design and reduce costs. Your key tasks include: •Lead cross functional teams in design change activities •Design and implement customer-specific adaptions and new variants •Drive Engineering in quality issues affecting customers and/or manufacturing •Keep supplier drawings updated – review and optimisation •Participate in D-FMEA as main responsible – review and update •Evaluate design to make cost reduction improvements •Ensure that standards and quality systems as TS-16949 are followed •Update SAP, BOM Bill of Material, classification, etc. •Electronic layout, electronic design Engineer with stakeholder focus and a can-do attitude You have an educational background as a mechatronics engineer or electronic engineer with mechanical experience. You either recently graduated or have some years of experience within mechanical product design or other production factories. Preferably, you are experienced in SAP, Six Sigma, 3D CAD preferably inventor 2012, E-CAD. Most importantly, you have the energy and the can-do attitude for performance, and you thrive on giving that bit of extra to ensure the successful outcome from customer idea to implementation. Quality is a main driver, and you have a structured approach to your work and take on responsibility. Moreover, you are able to manage both local and international stakeholders, and develop and deliver products within the agreed timeframe. As a vast majority of your job activities take place in cross-functional groups, it is also important that you are a skilled team player who thrives on cooperating and networking.
