Are you the Electronic Engineer who can help us making the next generations of 3D scanners? Job description You will join our electronics team which currently consists of 12 electronic engineers. The team is rapidly growing and yet again, we will expand with new colleagues to be able to pursue all the interesting projects we have in the pipeline. The team is working on tasks such as electronics product design, PCB schematic capture and layout, programming of FPGAs, processors and embedded systems, design for EMC /EMC testing, high-speed data transfer interfaces, motors, advanced sensors/image sensors, laser interfacing, X-ray and mechatronics. The team members participate in cross-discipline project groups and are involved in the whole product lifecycle spanning over idea generation, concept phase, product realization, production transfer and product maintenance. At the same time the electronics team cooperates across projects to share experiences and get feedback on design choices, share technology and develop our expertise in general. 3Shape’s scanner development department as a whole is made up of 50+ motivated experts in hardware-near software, physics, optics, mathematics, electronics, and mechanics, the major skills needed to build a 3D scanner from the ground up. The design of a scanner is often a technical compromise, so close collaboration across the disciplines is required to make the best product. We believe that success is built upon a portfolio of products with user focus and innovative solutions and we therefore strive for a creative, cooperative environment where everyone has the chance to influence the end-product. Your profile •B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical engineering and a few years of relevant work experience •Excellence in either ?Digital electronics design incl. test & verification ?PCB layout of advanced designs ?Electronic device construction •Other valuable additional expertise ?In-depth knowledge of interfaces such as DDR, LVDS, Ethernet, USB, WIFI etc. ?ARM/Linux development ?Ability to program in high level PC languages to some degree ?EMC and regulatory compliance ?Battery and power technologies •You have knowledge of most of the listed disciplines in the job description •You have a desire for contributing in the design/idea phase, for using experimental setups in the exploratory phase and you reach out beyond your own field of expertise and take on responsibilities in scanner development Are you an electronics expert but your skillset is slightly different to the above scope?
