Experienced Analytical Research Scientist to Peptide DMPK Function

To a vacant position in our growing Pharmaceutical development and DMPK group, Gubra is now looking for an experienced Research Scientist to join the group. The candidate is self-motivated and can navigate and collaborate in an energetic organization, as well as ready to set ambitious high standards for the output of the group. The ideal candidate prefers working in the research setting while still knowing the requirements for a drug development molecule in the peptide space.
 
Going forward the Pharmaceutical development and DMPK group will then consist of 5 scientists and 5 technicians. The group supports Gubra drug discovery projects by delivering exposure analysis of peptide candidates from pharmacodynamic studies, and also more advanced pharmacokinetic analysis (half-life, bioavailability etc.). More over the department contributes with formulation, solubility and bioanalytical stability assays of peptides and associated metabolites.
 
Gubra is still a young company, very dynamic and data/delivery driven. Our workdays can be quite hectic with rapid changes and it is therefore essential that you have a flexible attitude and that you like to support and assist in the laboratory when needed. At Gubra, we strongly believe in advancing science by continuously testing our hypotheses and trying to answer questions by conducting scientific studies in the animal facilities or in the laboratory. As a Research Scientist in our Pharmaceutical Development group, you are supporting this vision by taking ownership in developing and creating high quality data.
 
Your tasks as an Experienced Research Scientist are varied, but include: 

• Participate in the internal and partnered research projects by delivering DMPK analysis of peptide development inputs to the SAR work
• Develop, troubleshoot and maintain analytical equipment
• Optimizing current methods towards automatization with your passion for data
• Deliver data analysis, interpretation, and reporting of study results
• Coordinating and supporting experiments including supervision of lab technicians

 Desired skills, experience, and professional qualifications: 

• A PhD degree plus at least 3 years of experience preferably from the drug discovery industry
• Experience with peptides
• Experience with state-of-the quantification methods including LC-MS and HPLC
• Experience with modeling of PK data and PK-PD relationships
• A technical science background preferable with focus pharmaceutical and analytical disciplines
• Great executing and collaborating skills
• Knowledge about metabolic research

• You are self-motivated and like to take responsibility and initiative
• Open, honest, flexible and with a sense of humor
• You know how to work with others and you share your knowledge
• National and international network an advantage
