Experienced Project Development Manager eager to make an impact in the energy transition through green hydrogen projects

Do you wish to play a pivotal role in delivering on Europe’s fastest-growing energy company’s ambition to create a business within green hydrogen?  

Join us and become Project Development Manager in our Hydrogen department, where you’ll develop and lead projects to establish large-scale electrolysis plants for production of green hydrogen using renewable power. The department is an integral part of our offshore wind business unit, and you’ll be responsible for developing asset projects from the early stages of customer/partner dialogue through concept selection, business case evaluation, contract negotiations and engineering to tendering and final investment decision. In addition, you’re expected to continuously contribute to the refinement of processes, systems and tools in the department.  

Your key tasks will be to 

• drive the technical and commercial development of electrolyser asset projects 
• ensure continuous alignment with the green hydrogen customer and other partners 
• interact with our legal, regulatory and consenting teams to secure the contracts, framework conditions and permits needed prior to final investment decision 
• lead, motivate and manage small dedicated interdisciplinary project teams consisting of internal and external resources 
• through your experience and behaviour, act as a role model within project development in the Hydrogen team. 

 Your competences include that you 

• have a degree in engineering, maybe supplemented by a degree in business administration and a project management certification 
• have extensive experience with development of asset projects in the process and/or energy industries. Experience building electrolysers will be an advantage 
• are used to working with a stage-gate project development model where you’ve had the overall responsibility for preparing the material needed for management gate decisions 
• are a seasoned project manager capable of leading complex asset development projects. 

Furthermore, you have a good commercial understanding of financial drivers of asset projects. You’re driven and results-oriented, and you speak and write English fluently, enabling you to present results and insights efficiently. It’s an advantage if you also speak and read Dutch and German. You’re able to handle a range of complex tasks effectively and you take ownership of your areas of responsibility.
