The User Experience (UX) team in GN Netcom is searching for an experienced UX designer to work with the development of desktop software applications for our advanced communication solutions. User Experience at GN Netcom GN Netcom develops headsets and associated devices for both consumer and professional use. Headsets of today have become common communication devices that interact with phones, PC’s, tablets etc. in still more advanced ways. Apps and other software applications are used to increase the product value and overall user experience. To ensure the user value in our technically innovative solutions we have a highly recognized UX team focusing on the user experience primarily within usability, comfort and general user perception. Your job – challenge, influence, fun You will be part of a dynamic team of 10 persons all working within User Experience in the R&D function. Your work will primarily be centred on the usability aspect in our desktop software applications for Windows and Mac OS. You will participate in the development of new communication solutions; from early user research and concept development, over interaction design and technical specification to validation through user tests. You will own the UI and your main job is to translate market requirements and user needs into clear design specification for our software developers. Thus, we expect you that you will develop strong relationships with our Software Department and work closely with Product Management and the rest of the User Experience team. Key responsibilities: • Through project assignments be responsible for defining and follow through all aspects of user experience and usability in our SW applications. • Cooperate with Product Marketing on overall user requirements; based on user research/involvement, product analysis etc. • Develop and validate early UI concepts (wireframes + UI flows). • Cooperate with external graphical designers. • Specify the user interaction (UI Specification) to software developers. • Perform vis-à-vis and remote user test activities with focus on product usability and user perception. GN Netcom is looking for a highly committed person that is passionate about usability, is prepared to argue the user’s case on individual projects and takes pride in further development of this exciting UX discipline. Qualifications and experience: • Master or bachelor degree within relevant areas mentioned above. • At least 2 years of experience within design for Windows and/or Mac OS – or similar. • Strong communication skills both visually and verbally (person-to person and in larger groups). • Excellent English language skills, in both speech and writing. • Theoretical knowledge within interaction design. • Theoretical knowledge within user research. • Creative with a strong drive to seek information through research and analysis. • Team oriented – sharing information and cooperating with the UX Team, the cross-functional project teams and other stakeholders. • IT: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Axure What we offer Working at GN Netcom will give you a unique opportunity to work in a cross-disciplinary team where you can make a difference; an exciting and challenging job in a global organization.
