Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking a Functional Safety expert to develop differentiated vehicle level solutions meeting functional safety requirements, and to provide cross-BU leadership to develop Danfoss as the market leader related to functional safety. This position reports to the Manager - Advanced Systems Engineering. Key Responsibilities: •The successful candidate will become the process owner for the Danfoss Power Solutions functional safety strategy including the obligations related to directives and compliance •Additionally, the candidate will put our product and system strategies in motion by designing and implementing safe vehicle solutions on vehicles at our Application Development Center •This person will also facilitate a cross-Business Area group of functional safety experts within Power Solutions who support BU product developments and sales within their BUs •Creation and ownership of roadmap documenting standardized Danfoss safe solutions meeting all needed requirements •Facilitate the identification and sharing of best practices across BAs related to functional safety in design, documentation, and application of our products •Provide training and support to our Sales team globally on safe Danfoss vehicle solutions Coordinate Danfoss Power Solutions engagement and participation in industry trade associations and working groups related to functional safety and directive compliance Qualifications: •Demonstrated knowledge and experience interfacing with OEMs to understand and satisfy their requirements •Design and development of off-highway vehicle hydraulic systems, including safety aspects •Strong communication skills required to connect with and influence people having diverse experiences in a multi-cultural environment •Strong technical knowledge and experience applying industry directives and standards related to functional safety with initial focus on the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), ISO13849, IEC61508, and ISO25119 What we offer: •An interesting and challenging job in at the intersection of deep technical expertise and customer opportunities •A global environment where you will be able to continuously develop your skills and competencies •The chance to partner with highly-skilled engineers to develop novel, next generation solutions Further information, For additional information, please contact Margaret Hulse, at +49 4321 871 863 Application deadline: 15th of November 2014
