Then we urge you to keep on reading as you could be our next Global Category Manager at Danfoss Procurement. You will be responsible for identifying and orchestrating the implementation of global and regional saving programmes. You will report directly to the Head of Category Electronic Components and will be offered a unique opportunity to apply your procurement knowledge on a global scale. The position entails approx. 50-60 travel days per year. Develop and implement category strategies The job will enable you to develop your creativity and require you to find new ways of thinking. You will have a wide interface with both internal and external stakeholders and play a central role in creating impact and changes for the organisation. As Global Category Manager, you will be responsible for making stepwise changes by developing and executing the category strategies in full compliance with the global strategy and supply chain needs, and you will, furthermore, have full responsibility for supplier management. Your key tasks will be: •Participation in developing and implementing category strategies •Delivering and consolidating savings and continuous improvements •Negotiation with suppliers and draw up supplier contracts •Supplier quality management – select, develop and discard suppliers The position can be based at any of our locations in Europe, but you must be able to be present at our office in Flensburg 1-2 days a week. Strong negotiator with solid networking skills and category management experience You are a proactive self-starter with high drive, ambition and a positive can-do attitude. You have a relevant educational background, e.g. a commercial education combined with technical flair or an engineering background topped with solid commercial understanding, all backed by solid category management experience, preferably within power modules and components. It is essential that you are result-oriented and have strong negotiation skills. You have an analytical approach to your tasks and work both independently and in cross-functional teams. You are also good at leading change and prioritising. You master English at negotiation level, have diplomatic skills and are able to communicate on all levels.
