Job ID: 159373 Location: Brande Organization: Siemens in Denmark – Siemens Wind Power Mode of employment: Full time The Procurement organization at our global head office in Brande, Denmark, is expanding its activities, and we are therefore looking for a Global Commodity Manager. You will be responsible for a global commodity strategy across the main procurement hubs in Orlando and Shanghai. As a Global Commodity Manager for Power & Control in our Electricals Module, you will report directly to one of the five Global Heads of Procurement managing the total Siemens Wind Power materials spend. You will be managing a small team and be striving for the best in a world-class procurement department. What are my responsibilities? · Designing and defining the strategy for your commodity, considering short, medium and long term scenarios and risks. · Organizing and executing global, regional and cross-regional bundling of the demands of the different sites/segments. · Analyzing demand, markets and suppliers to create a basis for deciding on the best sourcing strategy. · Being responsible for the selection of suppliers and undertaking supplier development and management. · Conducting price and contract negotiations to guarantee security of suppliers on the best conditions. · Planning, coordinating and guiding a team of Regional Commodity Managers / Buyers and leading cross-functional commodity teams comprising representatives from Engineering, Supplier Quality and Supply Management. What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have a strong technical and commercial background combined with a minimum of 5+ years of professional procurement experience · You have at least 3 years of experience of working with electronics and electromechanical components. · You are capable of managing a purchasing volume of several million Euros · Furthermore, you have leadership experience and preferably experience in project management · As a person you are proactive and result-oriented with a structured approach to complex tasks, and you are a skilled negotiator with strong strategic skills · You are a dedicated team player, but also capable of working independently, and you thrive in an intercultural environment · Additionally, you possess excellent communication and English skills both orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
