We are 7 colleagues, who are dedicated to supporting the entire organisation in “New ways of working with the Customer as the starting point”. Our focus is on ensuring that we proactively engage and listen to our customers, truly understand their needs and act accordingly. We solve things as they arise and keep an open door policy, where we help and spar with each other regarding the different tasks,” Thomas explains. What is the job about? As our new Business Consultant, you initiate, facilitate and drive various sorts of research and analysis to provide key support and recommendations for business critical decisions at management level. Often, the assignments and projects are cross-functional in nature and often with an element of change management. Thus, you participate in task forces and cross functional teams and take on the expert role in the disciplines of quantitative sales-, customer- and market analysis. Moreover, you are also an expert in analysing and designing performance improvement solutions. Your aim is to continuously maintain and improve our Group sales activity reporting, a tool used by all sales regions/companies to manage the amount of hours spent in front of Grundfos customers. You also maintain and improve performance management systems to follow up on projects, place proper focus on key initiatives and drive a responsive process management process. Driving the development of a generic way to measure marketing effectiveness, you set up a process for how to measure Grundfos’ Return on Marketing Investment. Furthermore, you provide direct sales support by delivering insights on market and market potential to HVAC OEM. “The challenge in this job is that your day may be unpredictable so it is important that you thrive on taking up sudden, new tasks, which sometimes need to be solved within short deadlines. The important thing is to be able to create an overview and solve the task at hand,” Thomas says. What do you need to apply? You hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Economics. This is combined with strong business acumen and a minimum of 2 years of experience in an analyst role plus a proven track record of delivering high quality and timely insights. You are a super user in Excel and preferably also VBA. You speak and write English fluently. “On a personal level, you are good at prioritising your tasks, taking an analytical approach and creating an overview of the complexities of our analyses. You have excellent presentation skills and understand how to pick up new information and learn on the go,” Thomas finishes.
