Then the position as Manager of TO Projects Controlling with Maersk Drilling could be something for you. We Offer We are looking for a Manager of our Technical Organization (TO) Projects Controlling team responsible for the cost controlling relating to our newbuild, client modification as well as larger maintenance projects. The projects in scope range between USD 10 and 200 million, to in excess of USD 500m for newbuilding projects. The Projects Controlling Team has a direct reporting line into Finance with dotted line into the Technical Organization. We are in midst of a transition from excel/PIMS project controlling towards an integrated ERP system. This will significantly change the content of the work for also the cost controlling team and you will have a senior role in driving the opportunity maximization of this transition. Key Responsibilities As Head of TO Projects Controlling your primary area of responsibility will be to manage a dedicated Projects Controlling team to drive effective cost planning and controlling with a clear partnership and business optimization angle; driving project cost and schedule transparency and cost/value consciousness. Acting both as a people manager and individual contributor your technical area of responsibilities will be to: • Facilitate project estimation process and make quality assurance on cost and linkage with plan/schedule. • Prepare project budget/justification and benchmark to ensure project budgets are stretched yet doable. • Verify that schedule/plan changes are reflected in cost forecast • Participate in contract management of vendors and follow-up on time/progress input from various contractors to enable Earned Value / timesheet controlling • Monitor, analyse, forecast and report monthly or weekly with relevant information such as earned value, s-curves, use of contingency, cash flow reporting and fx management • Facilitate Cost and Schedule risk analysis • Participate in Project Steering Committee Meetings • Lead the implementation and improvement of project cost control methods and tools • Ensure that Project Control lessons learned and processes are documented, disseminated and communicated to drive continuous improvement within and beyond the immediate team • Maintain our project cost tools (short term excel/PIMS – longer term our new ERP system IFS) Who we are looking for We are looking for an experienced and committed Senior Project Controller/Engineer with a proven track record of handling complex projects with a multitude of stakeholders possessing the following characteristics: • You have demonstrated people management and senior stakeholder experience • You are proactive and have a can-do attitude • You are structured, analytical and can plan and perform the work independently • You have an eye for detail, and a natural interest in integrating finance knowledge with business drivers and value creation • You are robust and can ask the right critical questions in a constructive manner. • You are a team player with focus on contributing constructively to the development of department/projects goals. • You hold either a Master's degree or an "HD" in Finance, Engineering or equivalent education and have at least 5 years of relevant experience including documented achievements within project controlling (earned value principles/link to project schedule) • It will be a benefit if you have experience with planned maintenance projects/systems • You communicate fluently in English and have strong IT skills Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and interested candidates are encouraged
