Transport & Handling is a department within Technology & Service Solutions (TSS), Vestas R&D organization. The department is accountable for developing and maintaining processes and tools for Transport, Installation and Maintenance of wind turbines. Transport & Handling Processes is a part of Transport & Handling. The team is responsible for developing and illustrating processes and concepts within Transport, Installation and Maintenance of wind turbines. The work areas of the Industrial Designer are: Driving and facilitating concept development for handling of wind turbine components on site and during transport Illustrating value chain concepts on a high level for product development purposes Concept development and sketching for new tools and processes Story boarding of transport, installation and maintenance processes Responsibilities As an industrial designer in Transport & Handling you will ensure that operational experience and new concepts are combined and communicated visually through concept sketches, story board and process descriptions. You will work with a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure that the full value chain is taken in to account when developing new processes. You will provide important input to development of transport, installation and maintenance processes and descriptions of on-site processes will be a core deliverable for you. Qualifications Industrial designer, technical designer or similar Experience in describing and illustrating work processes or similar Knowledge of PTC’s product suite Experience from wind turbine industry or similar heavy industry preferred Experience with project management or planning of (own) work Competencies Ability to drive , facilitate and illustrate cross functional process development Ability to manage own deadlines and deliver according to planned schedule Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal Proven ability to work independently and in teams, under pressure Capable of cooperating with colleagues in a professional and positive manner What we offer We offer you an exciting and challenging job in a dynamic work environment.
