Combining project management with design of instrumentation and safety systems As our new instrumentation engineer you will be responsible for technical design in accordance with our contracts and international standards. A large portion of our projects are multidiscipline and will give you the opportunity to work closely together with electrical, process, safety, mechanical, structural and maintenance engineers. Trough out our work on the projects we maintain a continuous dialogue with our clients, typically through status meetings. Your tasks will include to: Participate in studies where the overall safety and automation systems are specified Specify field instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, flow and level transmitters, metering and analysers, fire and gas detectors, including the hook-up and cabling of these instruments Act as Project Manager for instrumentation projects, which include estimation and control of cost, time and resources Be a mentor for your younger colleagues in the department Participate in developing new procedures and guidelines within the disciplines You may expect to travel up to 2-4 times a year offshore, typically shorter periods of 2-3 days at a time. High professionalism with a result-oriented focus on clients We imagine you to be able to identify and organise the resources that are needed to accomplish tasks and that you always monitor performance against deadlines and economical limits. You maintain a constant focus on clients’ needs and satisfaction, while at the same time manage to build strong connections with them and get a "kick" out of delivering high quality results. It is important for us that you encourage organisational learning and continuously share knowledge with your colleagues. To be a success in this position, we image that you have: A Bachelor or Master degree in either Electrical engineering, Control design, Electronics, Electro and Energy technology, or Marine engineer/Electro technician with a background as electrician Min. 4-6 years of relevant experience from one of following areas: automation, distributed control systems, instrumentation, metering or safety systems Good communication skills in English is a must and Danish is an advantage Worked on a daily basis with Microsoft office and have knowledge of SmartPlant Instrumentation It is a great advantage if you have also participated in international, large scale offshore projects.
